Dark History Paint Night: The Radium Girls

Art. History. An Eerie Glow.

Step into the darker side of history for an immersive creative experience unlike our traditional paint parties.

We're traveling back to the 1920s to uncover the haunting true story of The Radium Girls — young women whose work painting luminous watch dials would ultimately change workplace safety forever.

But we won't just be telling their story.

We'll be creating in the glow.

NEW! Two Ways to Experience Dark History

You asked, and we listened! We've introduced a more affordable project option so even more people can join us for an evening of art, history, and conversation.

Choose the project that's right for you:

Mini Layered Butterfly — $25

A smaller layered butterfly project, perfect for those looking for a budget-friendly way to enjoy the Dark History experience.

Signature 5-Layer Hexagon Butterfly — $59

Our stunning, dimensional butterfly artwork featuring five intricate layers and beautiful details.

Same fascinating history. Same creative experience. Two ways to join the fun!

Both options include all painting supplies, UV-reactive colors, step-by-step guidance, and the complete Dark History storytelling experience.

Your Dark History Experience

During this special 3-hour experience, you'll:

✦ Create your choice of layered butterfly artwork

◆ Experiment with UV-reactive paints and glowing details

♠ Paint beneath blacklights as your artwork transforms in the glow

♣ Hear the story of the Radium Girls woven throughout the creative experience

❖ Choose from specially designed color palettes to make your butterfly your own

No artistic experience is needed. We'll guide you through your project step-by-step while leaving plenty of room to make it uniquely yours.

Why a Butterfly?

There's a reason we chose the butterfly for this story.

But we're saving that part for the night.

When the Lights Go Down...

Your artwork is designed to look beautiful in everyday light — but under blacklight, another side of it comes alive.

We'll use UV-reactive colors alongside our traditional paint palette, creating glowing accents and details that reveal themselves when the blacklights come on.
